This guide used to describe a monitoring system built on endpoints that do not exist. It has been rewritten to use only endpoints the API actually serves, and its unsupported claims were removed.
An earlier version of this page described three endpoints that are not part of the API, and claims built on them. They have been removed. These are real:
GET /v1/onchain/metrics — on-chain metrics: TVL, stablecoins, DEX volumes and yields from public sources.GET /v1/whales/events — large on-chain transfers and swaps we observed, filterable by chain, event_type and hours.GET /v1/onchain/liquidations/top — the largest recorded lending-protocol liquidations, filterable by chain, protocol and min_usd.Access depends on your plan; see pricing and the documentation for the current limits and which endpoints are free.
import requests
H = {"X-API-Key": "YOUR_KEY"}
BASE = "https://api.smartmoneyapi.com"
metrics = requests.get(f"{BASE}/v1/onchain/metrics", headers=H, timeout=30).json()
events = requests.get(f"{BASE}/v1/whales/events", params={"chain": "ethereum", "hours": 24, "limit": 50}, headers=H, timeout=30).json()
liqs = requests.get(f"{BASE}/v1/onchain/liquidations/top", params={"min_usd": 100000, "limit": 20}, headers=H, timeout=30).json()
print(list(metrics.get("onchain", {}))[:5], len(events["events"]), len(liqs["rows"]))
Check each response against the field list in the documentation before building on it.
These endpoints describe what was observed on-chain. They do not tell you which protocols are healthy, where capital will go next, or how a vote will end, and this page makes no claim that they do.
See the documentation for the fields each endpoint returns, and the pricing page for what each plan includes.
